In the first quarter of 2025, the top communication apps in Europe demonstrated varying trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Telegram from Telegram FZ-LLC showed a notable weekly revenue peak at approximately $2.4M in mid-February, followed by a gradual decline to around $1.9M by the end of March. Weekly downloads decreased steadily from 1.6M at the quarter's start to just over 1.1M. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 255M.

Snapchat by Snap Inc experienced a revenue peak of about $3.2M in late February. Downloads started at 1.1M and dipped to 867K by the end of the quarter. Active user numbers hovered around 93M, showing minor fluctuations.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out from Discord Inc. saw a revenue bump to $682K in late February, with downloads maintaining a steady range between 386K and 492K. Active user numbers increased slightly, ending the quarter at approximately 34M.

Azar: Video Chat, Meet Friends by Hyperconnect LLC had a revenue peak at about $1.1M in the final week of March. Downloads remained relatively stable, starting at 230K and ending at 182K. Active users showed an upward trend, reaching 1.1M by the quarter's close.

GMX - Mail & Cloud from GMX maintained consistent weekly revenue with a notable increase to $233K at the end of February. Downloads decreased from 36K at the start to 23K by March end. Active users showed slight growth, peaking at 8.7M.
